Extra-Curricular programs

At CIST, learning doesn’t stop at the end of the school day. Our free and paid Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs), offered daily from 3pm to 4pm, provide students with enriching opportunities to explore interests, develop new skills, and build confidence beyond the classroom. These opportunities reflect our commitment to holistic education, creativity, wellbeing, and global-mindedness.

Annual, Year-Long Programs

These programs run throughout the academic year, allowing students to build skills progressively and develop long-term interests:

Thai-Canadian Community Sports Centre (TCCSC) Collaboration
Gym Fun and Gymnastics programs are designed to support physical development, coordination, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.

Yamaha Music Collaboration
Professional music instruction in:

  • Vocals
  • Keyboard
    Supporting musical literacy, creativity, and performance skills.

Taekwondo Collaboration
The program with Master Kim focuses on developing discipline, confidence, physical fitness, and technical skills in a safe and supportive environment, suitable for students of varying ages and ability levels

Teacher-led Programs

These free 10-week rotating programs offered twice per year, provide students with the chance to explore a wide range of interests across creative, academic, physical, and wellbeing domains.

External Provider Programs

To further enrich our ECA offerings, CIST also partners with external specialists who bring continued expert knowledge and unique learning experiences to our students. These paid programs run for 10 weeks, twice per year can include:

  • Fashion Design
  • Science Enrichment
  • Dot-Painting Art
  • Soap Making
  • Cooking
  • And additional specialised workshops throughout the year

Our ECA program is designed to support student voice, choice, and wellbeing, while encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and lifelong learning. We look forward to seeing students discover new passions and talents through our diverse after-school opportunities.
