Admissions Process

STEP 1
Submit an Application Form

Submit an application to Canadian International School of Thailand with a completed and signed application form.

STEP 2
Assessment

Once the application is complete, applicants are scheduled for an assessment.

The assessment process is designed to ensure that the placement of all children will best meet their educational and personal requirements.

STEP 3
Application Review

The application will be reviewed by the School Principal. Admission may be granted, declined or the School may place the student on a waiting list. In all cases, the parent(s) / guardian(s) will be notified.

STEP 4
Offer of Place

If the application is successful, an offer of a place will be made.

STEP 5
Payment

The payment of the required fees constitutes the acceptance of a place and therein confirms the place of the child.

STEP 6
Admission

Upon receiving payment the child will officially be enrolled. The Admissions Office will then support the transition to the first day of school.

Admissions Policy

The Canadian School operates a non-selective admissions policy. We believe that no-one has a limit to their potential or ability, therefore we will accept all students whose needs can be met by the school. In general, any student willing to learn is accepted.

There are minor requirements for acceptance into Early Years. Prospective students at these levels are informally assessed; they should be toilet-trained and able to speak and follow simple instructions. Students entering Elementary or Secondary complete a diagnostic assessment to ensure that they are placed in the correct class and specific needs, if any, can be met. In Elementary, the assessment is carried out by the School Principal. In Secondary, students complete an age-appropriate English assessment. Further details will be provided by the Admissions Officer once the admissions process has been completed.

Applications are accepted year-round. We encourage families to visit us if possible in order to better understand our school and to experience our welcoming culture.

Let's start something amazing!
